Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is a common disease that causes significant morbidity and mortality. Its prevalence and costs to society are huge and its incidence is rising as the population ages. Osteoporosis affects people of all races and socioeconomic groups, and the prevalence in men is not far behind that of women, yet it remains underdiagnosed and undertreated.
