Not many of us cook from scratch. Why? It takes a lot of time and effort, and there are simpler, quicker ways to feed ourselves, particularly when we are pulled in many directions with different priorities.

What applies in the kitchen also applies to healthcare. You don’t have to start from scratch. Others have gone before you and figured out solutions to many of the problems you’re facing today.

One excellent resource: the American Hospital’s Association Hospitals in Pursuit of Excellence initiative. This effort identifies what is working well in the hospital field, as well as other industries. It includes case studies, toolkits, and other valuable resources. Another great resource: our company, AHC Media. We offer multiple newsletters, books, and webinars with case studies from various healthcare fields including risk management, infection control, case management, and others.

Why reinvent the wheel, the AHA asks? We agree. It’s a waste of time and energy. Start stealing.
