One of the real buzzes at November’s annual scientific sessions of the American Heart Association (AHA; Dallas, Texas) was the continuing clinical validation of the role of public access defibrillation in reducing mortality. Clinical studies showing the effectiveness of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) presented at the AHA conference were excellent news for virtually every major defibrillator company.
