Telemedicine is focus of Vermont Conference
Interested in telemedicine? The University of Vermont is sponsoring a series of programs later this month to introduce providers to the new age of health care delivery. Implementing Effective Technologies in Healthcare The Third Annual Information Connection Series Conference runs from Jan. 28-30 at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center, Burlington, VT. The conference features more than 75 presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and exhibits and keynote presentations from Lawrence DeLucas, PhD, OD, former NASA astronaut, and Charles Friedman, PhD, Assistant Vice Chancellor and Director, Center for Biomedical Informatics, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Later in the year, the university will sponsor How to Build a Telemedicine Program from May 30 - June 3. The training will take place at Fletcher Allen Health Care, one of the top 10 telemedicine sites in the nation, the University of Vermont and the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Burlington. Special training features include required readings; hands-on training at more than 15 specially-designed telemedicine workstations; oral presentations; small-group interaction and networking; in-depth supportive instructional materials.
