Perspectives in Latex Allergy for Healthcare Workers is an educational slide program created by the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (ACAAI) to help health care professionals address the problem of natural-rubber-latex allergy. The author panel is led by B. Lauren Charous, MD, chairman of the ACAAI's Latex Hypersensitivity Committee.
The comprehensive program contains a fully scripted presentation covering clinical manifestation,
diagnostic evaluation, and treatment recommendations. Computer-
generated graphics illustrate the manufacture of rubber, as well as clinical reactions to latex products
and their underlying immunology. Specific recommendations for guidance of affected health care
workers are included. A full bibliographic reference list accompanies the slides.
Cost of the program is $95. Send check or money order payable to: NBB Productions, P.O. Box 118, Ramsey, NJ 07446. Add 6% sales tax for orders originating in New Jersey. *
