Health care worker safety congress set
A conference and product exhibition focusing on occupational safety and health issues within the health care industry is planned for Oct. 14 in Sturbridge, MA.
National experts will present sessions on lifting teams, back injury prevention, ergonomic solutions, needlesticks, latex exposure, injury prevention and management, workplace violence, indoor air quality, the effect of managed care on occupational injuries, complying with standards and regulations, and an Occupational Safety and Health Administration update.
The conference also will feature an exhibition of products and services to assist occupational health practitioners with issues covered in the educational program.
The event is presented by the American Safety and Health Institute and co-sponsored by Hospital Employee Health, Occupational Health Management, Rehab and Therapy Products Review, the Board of Certified Healthcare Safety Management, the American Society of Safety Engineers, the Association of Massachusetts Homes and Services for the Aging, and Medsafe.
