The emergency department (ED) is a high-risk liability environment, and proactive administrators ensure their facilities adhere to CoPs that affect their ED. AHC Media is here to help! Our speaker, Sue Dill Calloway, RN, MSN, JD will host a live webinar on May 19, “ED CMS CoPs."

Calloway, a medical-legal expert, will discuss legal issues in documentation, offer advice on CMS CoPs on ED and Interpretive Guidelines located in two separate sections of the Hospital CoP.

Additionally, she will discuss the requirements for staffing, training, grievances, restraint and seclusion, and policies and procedures. EMTALA, standards of care, and emergency procedures for both on and off-campus will also be explained during the program.
